Founded by Master Allen Wheeler (10th-Dan), the Okinawan Karate Do Union (OKU) is an organization open to all Okinawan Karate styles and styles of Okinawan descent. Since its inception in 1989, the OKU has become known for the quality of its members. The OKU provides a wide variety of opportunities for continuous improvement in the martial arts and has members from around the world.

By becoming a member, your rank will be documented and maintained as a permanent record of your grade and rank.  The Board of Directors provides legitimate certified rank testing of Roku Dan (6th degree black belt) and above. The OKU has an established constitution and maintains a standard for promotion. 

Our annual Summer Seminar provides the opportunity to learn from some of the most dedicated and talented Masters in the world.  Each year a panel of highly-skilled Masters and Martial Arts practitioners gather together to share their knowledge.
